St Philip's Curriculum

Here at St Philip's we want to ensure that we give our pupils the best possible primary experience.  Our bespoke curriculum addresses and builds upon their previous learning; making sure that each child reaches their full potential. Experiential learning is used wherever possible. We utilise our local environment, visitors, residential trips in years 4-6 and our own 'wild area'

We use a range of resources to develop reading across the school.  To support progression in phonics, we follow the structure of Letters and Sounds, supplemented by other resources such as Phonics Bug in EYFS and Key Stage 1 and Rapid Phonics in Key Stage 2.

If you would like to find out more about the curriculum that we are covering please contact your child's class teacher or follow the links below. These documents highlight the fundamental skill based objectives we teach within our curriculum.
