Wednesday 22nd of April

1. Spring has definitely sprung!   Imagine what lockdown would be like if it was winter time. Write either a list or a paragraph ( a group of sentences) describing what the signs of spring are.  Think of 3 things: the weather, the plants and the animals.

2. Yesterday you were seeing how far you could write the 2 times table.  Here are some mixed up number sentences.  See how well you understand it.

3 X 2 = __           7 X 2 = __        13 X 2 = __

6 X __ = 12         9 X __ = 18       17 X __ = __

__ X 2 = 16         __ X 2 = 24       __ X 2 = 32

10 X 2 = __         20 X 2 = __       50 X 2 = __

__ X 2 = 18         __ X 2 = 28       __ X 2 = 56

warm up            age related      greater depth

3. Get outside and give me 10 star jumps, 10 sit ups, 10 hops on each leg, now could you design your own work out?  You need to keep active for at least 10 minutes.

Pretend that you are Mr Swales and that you are teaching a class of your own.  Your class could be one of your parents - get your mum or dad moving (no excuses)!

4. Have you heard about Captain Tom Moore?  He was born and lived in Keighley for most of his life and then when his wife died he moved in with his daughter.  Read this clip with a family member and talk about what makes him a hero and someone for us all to admire.

5. Check out the BBC Bitesize lessons for today.  Complete one lesson; you have a choice of english, maths or science. The science is about seasons and weather, so it may help you with the first activity.

Remember if you need to contact me for anything - I would love to hear from you, my email address is
