Welcome to Year Four...
I am Miss Hollies and I will be the Class Teacher to Year Four for the next year. Luckily for you and I, I also have a wonderful side-kick, named Mrs Ahmed.
It's always strange and a little scary starting a new class - but don't worry; with the following helpful hints your school life will be a breeze...
1. Come to school everyday with a positive mental attitude and you WILL succeed!
2. Bring your best smile and use it on Miss Hollies and Mrs Ahmed.
3. If you like yellow things, you already rock!
4. Practise spellings and multiplication facts so that you can win the competitions.
5. Always tell the truth.
6. Don't make unnecessary fuss because it will annoy the Teachers.
7. Enjoy your learning.
8. Say 'please' and 'thank-you'.
Welcome back to half term two, where the nights grow cold and the days are dark...
Ooooh perhaps some Year Four Students could write a scary story based on the above phrase?
Have a look at how much fun the children had on Halloween Day. They carved pumpkins and tried to make scary designs...!
Thank-you to all the parents who sent a pumpkin into school - some of them were absolutely gigantic!
Year Four had lots of fun making Christingle candles towards the end of December. Have a look at what the children now know about Christingle...
Ruquyyah - Christingle is a symbol which means Jesus' light
Laaibah - The red ribbon on the Christingle represents Jesus' blood
Nimrah - The orange represents the world that we live in
Children have been learning all about the digestive system in Science. They loved doing this disgusting experiment that modelled just what happens to your food when you've eaten it...
Year Four had an epic time using their new Maths Resources. Each group of children used the resources to teach a concept to the new pupils (Miss Hollies and Mrs Ahmed).
Lots of fun was had and the new pupils learned a lot!
Well done guys!
Well it's back to school this week. I have had a lovely break and more importantly... a rest!
For those of you nosey children out there, why don't you ask me what I have been getting upto? In fact... write me a letter and practise your writing skills...
Look back soon to see what the Year Four Students have been getting up to...
