  • School Choir Visit Local Care Homes

    Just before we broke up for our Christmas holiday, our school choir were spreading music and joy as they visited two local care homes - Lister and Sherrington.

     

    They shared Christmas carols and cards with the residents, helping to put a smile on the faces of the elderly patients and staff alike. 

     

    The children, staff and residents look forward to the choir's next visit in the new year. 

  • Harvest Festival Donations

    Thank you to all of our amazing families for their Harvest Festival donations!

     

    The food and other supplies are being donated to St Philip's Church for their food bank, which supports the vulnerable and needy in our local area.

     

    One again, thank you for demonstrating perfectly our school vision - working together with hope in our hearts :-)

  • Year 6 Residential Trip - Ingleborough

    This Friday, our Year 6 children, plus Miss Hollies, Mr Swales and myself, will be heading off to Ingleborough Hall for a residential trip.

     

    Throughout the trip, the children will be exploring the Yorkshire Dales, walking through the world famous show cave and completing many team-building and adventurous outdoor activities.

  • Choir Visit Local Care Home

    Miss Lawton-Sergeant and her merry choir were guests at one of our local care homes this week. 

     

    The residents were treated to some beautiful singing from our children and the choir found joy and fulfilment in entertaining the elderly. 

     

    Our pupils, as always, were great ambassadors for St Philip's - demonstrating impeccable behaviour and positive attitudes towards the elderly people they were visiting.

  • Eid Mubarak!

    Eid Mubarak!  

     

    Our School Council have taken ideas from all of our children to decide what they wanted to do to celebrate Eid together.  

     

    It has been decided that we will hold a non-uniform day on Monday 24th April in celebration with £1 donations going to Islamic Relief.

     

    Our catering team, Mellor's, have also planned an Eid-themed lunch to celebrate!

  • UPDATE - Zumba & Pilates classes start up again at St Philip's

    UPDATE - Due to some school classroom timetabling changes, the fitness session will now run from 09.30 - 10.20 - with follow-up discussion and health advise available after the sessions.

    Please arrive at the school office by 9.25am on Tuesdays if you would like to join the fitness class provided by Nadera from NAFS Fitness.
