SMSC at St Philip's
Charity support
Throughout the year, the children and families of St. Philip's support a number of charities. These have recently included, Water Aid, Children in Need, Penny appeal, Bradford Food bank, Macmillan cancer charity, Community Kitchen (homeless support), Sports relief and Islamic Aid. Children may be introduced to the work of the charity through assemblies or visitors ( Eg. Christian Aid) . Usually, our school Council makes decisions around which charities they would like to support and how. Sometimes we choose to support a charity because of a request by a member of our community, our staff or children.
What a wonderful world!
At St.Philip's we know how valuable rich experiences are for our children. Opportunities are planned and children frequently show awe and wonder. Sometimes we are lucky enough to capture those moments!
