Year 1
Welcome to Year 1 
My name is Miss Vincent and Mrs Bi is our educational teaching assistant.
In year 1 we have formal learning and provision as the next step from our Early Years classroom and because we start the National Curriculum!
In class we promote independent learners, as the year builds we encourage children to take ownership of their learning so they are fully prepared for Year 2. We have a huge emphasis on phonics through Read Write Inc, and love to use interactive games and resources to support our learning.
Please support your child with their learning at home e.g. daily reading, completing homework worksheets and revising letter sounds. Your encouragement and support is invaluable.
P.E - is every Tuesday and Thursday.
